I have read these remarks of Auster before and couldn't agree more. Surely this is one of his best ideas.

But - as the Jew that he is - he omits to tell WHY this non-discrimination principle has become so dominant in the West. Well it was after the defeat of the Nazis who DID discriminate systematically, especially against Jews, who swore a radical "never again!" after the war. It must be ascribed to their machinations that discrimination of any kind became totally taboo in the West (but of course not in Israel). It is also important to note that it was the Jew Ashley Montagu (real name: Israel Ehrenberg) who started the idiotic idea that races don't exist with his influential book Man's Most Dangerous Myth: the Fallacy of Race, which is an application of the same non-discrimination principle. With all his brilliancy Auster wants to eat his cake and have it too: criticizing destructive "liberalism" but not mentioning that most of those "liberals" are Jews pursuing a Jewish agenda.
